Recently, the 50MPa and 98MPa high pressure hydrogen storage vessels developed by Lan Shi Heavy Equipment were successfully launched, marking a new breakthrough in the development of the company’s high pressure hydrogen storage vessels, which officially entered the stage of large-scale commercial promotion and application. Facing the new situation and new opportunities, according to the “Lan Shi Heavy Equipment Industry Development Planning Outline”, Lan Shi Heavy Equipment accelerates the research and development of hydrogen energy technology and hydrogen energy development and utilization related equipment, and promotes the full series coverage of hydrogen storage equipment.
During the research and development process, Lanzhou Heavy Equipment has overcome the problems of high density and large capacity hydrogen storage per unit volume, effectively meeting the requirements of the industry for two working conditions of hydrogen filling stations with rated working pressure of 35MPa and 70MPa. Through the research on the mechanism of determining the leakage before explosion, plastic collapse, brittle fracture, local transition strain and fatigue failure of the high-pressure hydrogen storage vessel, the structural design of the equipment was optimized, and the problem of “high-pressure hydrogen embrittlement” of the equipment materials and welded joints and the sealing of high-pressure hydrogen storage equipment were solved by the corresponding performance tests under high-pressure hydrogen environment. The problem of high pressure hydrogen storage equipment sealing has been solved. By applying multi-layer overmoulding technology and remote online leakage monitoring technology, the high safety, large scale and low cost application of hydrogen storage vessel has been achieved.
Based on the development of high-pressure hydrogen storage vessel, Lanzhou Heavy Equipment will further increase its scientific research efforts to make breakthroughs in the key technologies of the industrial chain, such as hydrogen production, application, testing and refilling, so as to promote the high-quality development of the hydrogen energy industry.
