On 11 October 2024, Wolong celebrated its 40th anniversary. SKF, as a global leader in rotary shaft related solutions, was honoured to participate as a key partner and received the ‘Excellent Strategic Partner’ award from the Wolong Group. Mr Wang Hui, President of SKF China and Northeast Asia, attended the ceremony and spoke on the stage as a supplier representative.
At the ceremony, Wolong Group honoured its outstanding partners who have been working hand in hand and growing together over the past four decades. SKF stood out and won the award for its longstanding close cooperation with Wolong , technological innovation and contribution to the sustainable development of the industry.
Mr. Wang Hui said in his speech that it was a great honour to represent SKF to participate in Wolong Group’s 40th anniversary celebration and accept the award of ‘Excellent Strategic Partner’. SKF and Wolong Group have been cooperating for ten years. Looking back, SKF active magnetic levitation bearings, AEM silent bearings, ceramic ball bearings and other products and related technologies have been widely used in many projects of Wolong, and together they have set up a lot of industry innovation benchmarks in the field of magnetic levitation high-speed motors and other applications. From the initial relationship of product supply and demand, the two sides later joined hands to provide customers with more stable and efficient power, and then explored the possibility of cooperation in more fields with ‘co-creation’ thinking, and assisted more industries to low-carbon transformation with better solutions.
He further emphasised: ‘Ten years of cooperation is just the beginning, and as an important partner of each other, SKF will continue to actively use its global resources, as well as its leading full-value-chain technology development and engineering capabilities, to align Wolong’s pace of globalisation and its “three growth curves” strategy, with headquarters to headquarters and region to region. Headquarter to headquarter, regional service to regional, together with Wolong, we will explore new development opportunities and jointly create new development value, focusing on improving energy efficiency of electric drives, electrification technology innovation, etc., to help ‘carbon neutral’ and drive a better future.’
