On 27th February 2025, CITIC Heavy Industry’s 2024 Annual Supplier Conference was held in Luoyang, Henan Province, with the theme of ‘Gathering Momentum for Winning Together and Linking to the Future’. SKF was awarded ‘CITIC Heavy Industry 2024 Strategic Supplier’ for its excellent technical experience, service capability and contribution to supply chain construction. At the same time, the two sides signed a strategic cooperation agreement for 2025 to deepen win-win cooperation.

Since the establishment of cooperation in 1995, SKF and CITIC Heavy Industry have walked through a 30-year journey of collaborative innovation.
The two sides have established cooperation from basic components, and established complete solutions and products in the fields of bearings, seals, lubrication, intelligent condition monitoring and so on. These products are widely used in CITIC Heavy Industry’s large-scale mining hoist, mill, roller press, rotary kiln, gear box and other key equipment, helping it to improve the performance of rotating equipment and maintain its advantage in the market.
The two sides have gradually established a solid strategic partnership by continuously deepening the field of cooperation and expanding the scope of cooperation.

In the face of China’s ‘new quality productivity’ and the transformation and upgrading needs of China’s high-end equipment manufacturing industry, SKF has increased its localisation deployment in China and improved the localisation rate of its products. During the cooperation, SKF actively participated in key projects of CITIC Heavy Industries, including oversized mining hoist, high-power double-drive mill and vertical stirred mill. By strengthening the cooperation on condition monitoring and lubrication systems for mills, SKF enhances the competitiveness of CITIC Heavy Industries’ products with advanced technologies and products.
